Libya
and Syria up Rise:
The
Middle Eastern up rise that started mid 2011, continued in the devastated
regions of Libya and Syria. Hundreds of thousands of protestors carried out
protests against the dictatorial rule rampant in both countries. Syria
witnessed the bloodiest year in history with the death toll in Damascus and
Aleppo alone crossing several thousands. Throughout 2012 news of violent
protests in the two African countries and worsening global relation of Syria
against backdrop of firing down Turkish jet continued making up to the
broadcasts.Sports
Swiss
tennis champion, Roger Federer grabbed his record 17th grand slam

2012. With his win Roger Federer equalized Pete Sampras’ record to have won 7
Wimbledon titles of his record 17 Wimbledon titles. He was also claimed as the
world No 1 for a record 286 weeks.
West
Indies grab the T20 World Cup……
West Indies beat Sri Lanka in finals of
the World T20 tournament taking position as the twenty – twenty champions in
Colombo Sri Lanka. Faced with chasing 138, after West Indies had played one of
the more schizophrenic T20 innings of the tournament, Sri Lanka could not find
a solution to their opponents spinners, at least not one likely to bear fruit
in 20 overs.
